I’ve spent a lot of my life packing and unpacking boxes. I lived in 12 cities by the time I was 18 and moved about two dozen times during those years. No matter where I made my bed, I made it with style.
From a young age, I would sit and sketch rooms and tear out magazine pages for a constantly evolving dream board. I’d MacGyver my style inspirations into life with zero budget – using duct tape, thread, and determination. Living such a nomadic life and in hardscrabble circumstances taught me a lot about how to create something from nothing and edit what you own so you can take your style with you from place to place.
I put myself through college and have worked as a professional writer, journalist, and photographer for 20 years. You can read more about my writing career on my portfolio page, EmmilyBristol.com.
I found roots in the most unlikely of places, Las Vegas. I’m living life in a home full of love where I’m raising my daughter with my high school sweetheart.
The nomad in me is gentrified, but my style never will be. Now I want to share what I’ve learned with you and help you create a style all your own – no matter your budget.
